A palavra violenta da máquina: considerações sobre o uso de inteligências artificiais para o ensino a partir de uma perspectiva Bakhtiniana

Abstract

O crescimento do campo tecnológico é contínuo e não mostra indícios de ser freado, o que faz com que nós, enquanto sociedade, precisemos nos adaptar aos novos tempos. As inteligências artificiais (IAs) ocupam espaços nas telas dos nossos celulares, computadores, caixas de supermercado e semáforos. Nas escolas, desbravam espaço por meio de alunos que as usam como ferramenta para tarefas e por professores para a produção de materiais didáticos. IAs que operam como modelos de linguagens encontram suporte em estereótipos para se comunicar e, por conta dos estereótipos, podem reproduzir violências estruturais no que produzem. Este ensaio tece comentários sobre a relação entre seres humanos e máquinas a partir de Bakhtin e Volóchinov, membros representantes da teoria dialógica do discurso. Entendemos que os estereótipos da máquina são uma manobra de palavras violentas e que o olhar amoroso do ser humano é um caminho possível para evitá-las.

The growth of the technological field is continuous and shows no signs of slowing down, which means that we, as a society, need to adapt to the new times. Artificial intelligences (AIs) are increasingly present on the screens of our smartphones, computers, supermarket checkouts, and traffic lights. In schools, they are carving out space through students who use them as tools for tasks and teachers who use them for producing educational materials. Language models powered by AI rely on stereotypes for communication, and due to these stereotypes, they may reproduce structural violence in what they generate. This essay discusses the relationship between humans and machines, drawing from Bakhtin and Volóchinov, key figures in the dialogical theory of discourse. We understand that the stereotypes of machines represent a maneuver of violent words, and that the loving gaze of the human being offers a possible path to avoid them.
