Construindo legados, tecendo histórias: mestre bauer e a jornada mestre-aprendiz no CIMOL

Abstract

presente pesquisa objetiva investigar a trajetória de Harald Alberto Bauer, fundador da Escola Técnica Estadual Monteiro Lobato (CIMOL), a qual está localizada na cidade de Taquara, no Rio Grande do Sul, à luz da teoria do materialismo histórico dialético. O período a ser pesquisado perfaz o recorte temporal da criação da escola, em 1960, até 2012, quando do falecimento de Mestre. A ênfase da pesquisa, portanto, se relaciona ao papel do “Mestre Bauer”, um dos fundadores do CIMOL, e seu legado para a educação profissional e tecnologia no Rio Grande do Sul. A partir das entrevistas com familiares, ex-alunos e ex-colegas, bem como de documentos históricos, a pesquisa identificou diversas semelhanças entre a relação Mestre Aprendiz, das antigas Guildas e Corporações de Ofício e a estabelecida entre Mestre Bauer e seus ex-alunos. Ademais, buscou estabelecer paralelos entre os ideais de Mestre Bauer (e valores do CIMOL) com a pedagogia escolanovista, a qual estabelece a centralidade do trabalho na educação. O estudo, portanto, consiste em uma pesquisa exploratória de natureza histórica, buscando demonstrar como fatores socioculturais podem influenciar a constituição de uma educação profissional e tecnológica com potencial de transformar a sociedade.

The present research aims to investigate the trajectory of Harald Alberto Bauer, founder of the Escola Técnica Estadual Monteiro Lobato (CIMOL), which is located in the city of Taquara, in Rio Grande do Sul, in light of the theory of historical-dialectical materialism. The period to be researched covers the period from the creation of the school, in 1960, until 2012, when Mestre passed away. The emphasis of the research, therefore, is related to the role of “Mestre Bauer”, one of the founders of CIMOL, and his legacy for professional education and technology in Rio Grande do Sul. Based on interviews with family members, former students and -colleagues, as well as historical documents, the research identified several similarities between the Master-Apprentice relationship, of the old Craft Guilds and Corporations and that established between Master Bauer and his former students. Furthermore, it sought to establish parallels between Master Bauer's ideals (and CIMOL values) with New School pedagogy, which establishes the centrality of work in education. The study, therefore, consists of exploratory research of a historical nature, seeking to demonstrate how sociocultural factors can influence the constitution of professional and technological education with the potential to transform society.
